As a twenty ‘something’¬†woman, entering my final semester of my final year at university, with little (read: no) experience of long distance running – save one very slow 5k in 2015 – I embraced the old ‘New Year: New Me’ mantra, joined a gym and signed myself up for the 2017 Simply Health Great North Run…insert grimacing emoji here!

Then some bright spark suggested I should write about it, for all the world to see.

So follow me on my journey from 0-13 miles in 6 months, juggling training, finishing my degree, part-time work and having a social life, to varying degrees of success.
